SuperPro (often marketed as Sentinel SuperPro) is a hardware-based software licensing and copy-protection solution from SafeNet, Inc. It uses secure hardware keys (dongles) to store cryptographic material and enforce license terms, helping software vendors protect desktop and on‑premises applications from unauthorized use. SuperPro supports node-locked and network floating licenses, feature-based entitlements, and time-limited trials. Developers integrate it through SDK libraries and utilities that bind application code to a SuperPro key and perform challenge–response checks at runtime. The system employs strong encryption and on-key license attributes, with keys available in USB and legacy parallel-port form factors for deployment on end-user machines or license servers. Part of SafeNet’s Sentinel portfolio, SuperPro is a proven, widely deployed option for organizations that need reliable, offline license enforcement without requiring a constant Internet connection.
